Know Your Bank Manager
27 May 2008If you don’t know the name of your bank manger you should. More importantly, if they don’t know your name, they should. One of the best pieces of advice I have ever recieved was to make sure that I’m on a first name basis with the manager of the branch where I do my banking.
This advice has paid off on numerous occassions and continues to payoff. I can drop off wire slips without having to wait to be helped. I do a lot of out of state banking and in the past, the tellers would have to pull a signature card or make a call before they would process my transaction. Now, I tell them the manager knows me, they glance at him, he gives them the nod and I’m good to go.
If you do a lot of business banking and really want to take it a step further, order in lunch for the branch staff a couple times per year. The attention and service you get is well worth the cost.
